Research Development and Innovation (RDI) as the constant development of the knowledge base, is a characteristic of leading organizations. Our aim is not only to keep the pace with the progress of technology - we want to shape it. Development and market introduction of new products and services and the full satisfaction of the needs of clients and customers in an ever changing market economy are vital factors for a successful company.

We have been doing scientific research since our merging with the Building Research Institute (Építéstudományi Intézet, ÉTI) in 1998, mainly in the field of applied research and experimental development, using our own and partner resources as well as EU funds. The RDI work is backed by a national network of laboratories with modern equipment. The results thus achieved are used in the form of publications, conference presentations, and university courses.

In addition to research and development funded by grants, ÉMI does a wide range of RDI work based on requests of partners and clients. Half a century of knowledge our company has accumulated, and a well-equipped laboratory bacground provide an excellent basis for applied research and experimental development.

Research and work done in national and international projects

After embarking on scientific research in 1998, ÉMI's R & D and innovation activities have stepped into the international arena (particularly in the European Union). Getting involved in international research gave a further incentive to our research and development, in part with EU grants now becoming available to us, and in part by joining the ranks of cutting edge international sciece. The international research, that started in 2000, keeps spanning more and more specialized areas.
